Double Decker Pizza: Double decker pie is one of my favourite foods
Double deckers are my favourite food, and I can’t think of a better way to enjoy them than in a double-decker pizza.
In Ireland, we call them double-dough pies, but we also know that if you put a double doughnut in a doughnut shell, it will not turn out quite the same.
The double-decker pizza is made by adding a layer of flour and water to a double crust, then baking it in a preheated oven, to a final temperature of 180 degrees Celsius.
The dough is then placed in a single layer, where it is covered with a second layer of dough, and baked for another 30 minutes at that temperature.
To ensure the perfect balance between flavour and texture, the dough is made in the same way, but with the dough inside being a little thinner than the outside.
Double-deckers are a favourite with the Irish, and their popularity is not limited to the country.
I can see how you could see the appeal of these little treats.
They can also be eaten at home, and are a great way to serve your friends, family and even your significant other.
