Skateboards decked with white paint, decked to look like a skater
A skateboard decking board has been decked in white paint to look more like a skateboarder.
It’s the latest in a long line of white-on-white incidents in which white people have been blamed for acts of violence against black people.
Some black people say the decking is a subtle reminder of how police treat them, while others think it’s an attack on black culture.
Last year, the Chicago Police Department installed a whiteboard on the city’s South Side, the same street where former basketball star Michael Jordan, who died in April, lived and worked, for months.
It’s a message of racial harmony, but there’s also a history of racial profiling, said Johnathan Bunch, a member of the South Side Black Lives Matter Coalition.
“It’s really a way to express solidarity with a community that has been hurt by the police, and also a way for the community to say, ‘Enough is enough,'” Bunch said.
Bunch said he was angry when the Chicago Boardwalk boardwalk was decked the day after his son, Jordan, was shot and killed by Chicago police last year.
He was angry at the whiteboard.
Bunch, who is white, said he is a “white supremacist” and has a “history of racism and violence.”
“There is no place in America for racism, and I will fight until I am dead,” Bunch wrote on his Facebook page.

More than 50 skateboarders in Chicago were arrested and charged with trespassing and criminal trespass, according to the Chicago Department of Aviation.
In 2015, more than 100 skateboard boards were painted with white paints to symbolize police brutality.
On Wednesday, the police department posted the white board on a public plaza in the city, where skateboard vendors are allowed to sell their products.
But the white paint was not the only part of the deck to be painted white.
Police also installed a board of a white stripe across the front of the board that shows up on Instagram when the skateboard is not in use, according, the department.
In a statement, the board says it was created to reflect the “culture and tradition” of skateboarding.
