Fire pit in Royal Oak’s Queen Elizabeth II coronavirus outbreak is ‘dangerous’, fire department says

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Service says its fire department in the city of Queen Elizabeth’s hometown of Richmond has been warned of the potential for a fire hazard in the coronaviral outbreak’s spread.

The fire department was alerted to a potential fire hazard at the Queen Elizabeths Island fire station in Richmond on Wednesday, said spokesperson Rob Caron.

He said the department has been told the fire will likely be contained to a temporary area but that fire crews will be patrolling the area throughout the day.RCMP Const.

Greg Fennell says the fire department will continue to monitor the situation.
